During a weekend in May, I was in the woods near Borger, Drenthe. It was beautiful weather, so I went for some walks and took some pictures of the nature surrounding me.
From the pine cones on the ground, to some wide views. It was very relaxing to walk around in the woods and enjoy the silence, only be broken by the sound of birds and frogs.
I started with taking pictures close to the ground, where I found pine cones and daisies.
There was a lot of fresh new green in the forest.

At a certain point there was an open area, a bit like a meadow. It had a pond with a lot of frogs (or that’s how it sounded), and a tree with fungus.
And, on the way back, I saw a lone poppy in the grass.
