After seeing a black and white challenge online, I got inspired. I decided to go into the city center of Delft, and shoot a series of pictures in black and white. This resulted in this Delft in Black and White series.
Most of the pictures shown here are taken around the Markt in Delft. On the Markt, you can find the city hall and the new church opposite of each other. In between these two magnificent building the market square is located with on each side restaurants and souvenir stores.
The houses were the restaurants and stores are located in have some nice facades. These facades can be recognized as typical for Delft or even the Netherlands.
On the ground of the market square some interesting features can be found next to the market rings. There is a compass with the outline of the Netherlands, with the center of the rose located at Delft.
Delft is not only crowded with people, there are animals walking or swimming around as well. Birds like pigeons and swans are not rare in Delft.
When walking a little bit away from the Markt, a nice view of the old church over one of the channels in Delft can be found.
