A walk through the park

On an evening I decided to go for a walk to a close by park. I only saw the park on a map, so I decided to take a look at how it looks like. It ended up being a nice little park with lots of green from plants, bushes, trees, and grass fields. But, it also had some colorful flowers and plants in between…

Smoothie time!

I really like summer fruits and making smoothies out of them. On a warm summer day, there is nothing more refreshing then a good smoothie. The one in the picture is made out of orange juice of one orange (~100 ml), 8 raspberries, 16 blueberries, and a little squeeze of lemon juice. Feel free to make it yourself and enjoy it!

Studio fun

For a challenge called “Mostly white”, I decided to haves some fun with product photography. At home I have a small studio of 60x60x60 cm with two lights. So, I set it up with the white background and took two toys to take pictures of, a white bear and a spinning top. The white bear was great on the the white background. It shows that…

Into the woods

During a weekend in May, I was in the woods near Borger, Drenthe. It was beautiful weather, so I went for some walks and took some pictures of the nature surrounding me. From the pine cones on the ground, to some wide views. It was very relaxing to walk around in the woods and enjoy the silence, only be broken by the sound of birds…

After seeing a black and white challenge online, I got inspired. I decided to go into the city center of Delft, and shoot a series of pictures in black and white. This resulted in this Delft in Black and White series. Most of the pictures shown here are taken around the Markt in Delft. On the Markt, you can find the city hall and the…

Sunflower with a bumblebee

Ever since I got my Nikon D90, I have been looking forward to add lenses and other accessories. After getting familiar with my camera and its kitlens, it was time to buy another lens. Having saved only a small amount of money due to my studies, I decided to go for a second-hand lens. It became the Tamron AF 55-200mm F/4-5.6 Macro. To try-out my…

Spontaneous trip to Rilland-Bath

It was weekend and my boyfriend and I wanted to get out of the house and visit a new place we both haven’t seen yet. So the big question was: Where to go? We decided to choose a train track and find the first stop that was unknown to us. This brought us to Rilland-Bath in Zeeland. It was a small village with a lot of…

Japanese Garden Clingendael

We went to the Japanese garden on the Clingendael estate. This is a freely accessible garden which is only open a few weeks per year. This short opening periods is due to the vulnerability of the plants and landscape. During the visit we could enjoy the (sometimes rare) flowers, plants, and trees, in a typical setting of a Japanese garden. Complete with traditional attributes and ponds.  …
